Husband Gary and I joined Let’s Do Lunch 2009 after watching Roger’s story on the 700 Club. The plan was a great success. For more than 2 years we lost and maintained a considerable amount of weight. The message boards were a great source of help that eventually got hacked and I unfortunately deleted a big chunk of content trying to delete the hacked messages and now the boards are no longer useful. Then life happened and we both fell off the “skinny train” but thankfully still held on to the principles of LDL and only gained back 15 of the 50 or more pounds lost. Several years ago, my job became increasingly stressful and I began chewing on soft ice instead of the pretzels I was craving. I became severely anemic and with no energy I struggled to even walk very far. Then the arthritis symptoms hit and I was in sooo much pain I moved even less. Kept hoping for a cure in pill form, but in doing internet searches I found that the best management was weight loss and exercise. Bing! Back to Let’s Do Lunch. Now that I am 15 years older than when I started LDL I just am not able to do the cooking from scratch as I am still working full time. I am pretty much exhausted and need the weekend for rest and can only do the basics of cleaning, washing dishes and doing laundry. As Roger stated, when you eat is as important as what you eat. On weekends I began fasting until noon or later then fixed whatever left-overs needed to be cleaned out of the refrigerator. (At this point both hubby and I had mostly eliminated wheat from our diet.) I ate very little at night. At work, I would start getting hungry around 9:30 am so I would snack on meat, cheese and some popcorn chips. Lunch was a soup or tuna, cottage cheese and/or boiled eggs around 2 pm. By the time I stop at several stores to get basic necessities, I get home between 7-8pm and no hungry so I don’t eat or only eat a couple mouthfuls of whatever hubby is eating. A little over a month now and I am down 14 lbs,, anti-inflammatory meds are down by half, and I am able to do some strength training exercises. One comment an LDL member made is “nothing tastes as good as skinny feels” is so true. I think about that when I am tempted to eat even though I am not really hungry. Do I really want to see the numbers on the scale go up again? No, I don’t. Wanted to share this in the hopes it helps anyone else struggling and does not want to go the harmful Wegovy or Ozempic route.

I have been browsing on-line greater than 3 hours today, but I by no means discovered any attention-grabbing article like yours.
It’s pretty worth enough for me. Personally, if all website owners
and bloggers made just right content as you probably did, the internet will probably be a lot more
    helpful than ever before.
